Career Designs
Career Designs needed a new website built from scratch. They wanted a site that was simple and inviting to showcase their service to potential clients. I helped find the right domain name and hosting contract for their needs.
For the top of the page, I decided to use a slider with images of people in a variety of careers to help prospective clients visualize the success they could have by working with Career Designs. I also came up with the byline based on the business name and the company's mission to help people find work they love.
For the services section of the site, I reworked existing copy and added some new language to describe Career Designs' services. I separated these into small, distinct entities to increase engagement and help potential clients find the service they needed most.
Finally, I suggested that Career Designs get testimonials from their clients to lend credibility to their services. I edited these testimonials for clarity and length.
Envizion IT Site Expansion
After the founding of Envizion IT, where I worked as an IT Support Specialist, I took on the management of our social media and web presence. This included updating the Envizion IT website.
I fine tuned the existing WordPress site that had been created for us using the Divi theme and added new content such as an employee section, which included custom JavaScript that unrolled employee bios on the click of a button. I also set up a new blog for Envizion IT in WordPress and designed the blog's front page (pictured).
Management of the website and Envizion social media accounts was transferred to an outside marketing firm as part of a lead generation package Envizion purchased during the pandemic. The site I worked on is unfortunately no longer active, but I can provide additional images of the site design upon request.
Patricia Baer & Associates
Patricia Baer & Associates had an existing website hosted on a legacy version of Squarespace. By switching them to IONOS, I helped them save $15/ month on hosting while also getting an updated site.
PB&A requested that the design from their old site be reflected in the new one. I recreated the structure and theme of the old website using existing assets like photos and background textures. At the same time, I updated the design and functionality while staying true to the look and feel of the old site. I also added new copy and improved on old copy to better connect with potential customers.
After COVID hit, PB&A transitioned their business model to fully remote. I helped them decide on a teletherapy platform that was HIPAA compliant and updated the site to reflect the changes to their practice.
